SURREALISM IN BELGIUM 1924-2000: Through August 19, 2007 the brand new museum of Fine Arts of Mons (BAM) presents over 500 works and documents giving an important overview of the surrealist movement in Belgium. This is the very first exhibition taking place at the new museum. |

LOKERSE FEESTEN: Thirty-three years ago a handful of people in Lokeren decided that the town was way too quiet during the summer. The festival lasts ten full days from August 3 through 12, 2007. Rock, Pop, AOR, Hip-hop and Techno fans will converge once again in this small town near Antwerp. Direct train service connects Brussels with Lokeren hourly and the festival grounds are in 5 minutes walking distance from the train station. |

PUKKELPOP: Annual alternative music event held on the Kiewit Festival Grounds near the town of Hasselt. Seven stages will offer a sparkling cocktail of the most diverse genres. Last years lineup included: Radiohead, Placebo, Artic Monkeys, Scissor Sisters, Massive Attack, Daft Punk and Keane to name a few. Hasselt is an hour and twenty minutes away from Brussels and direct trains run every half hour. |

LEONARDO DA VINCI - THE EUROPEAN GENIUS: In the magnificient setting of the Basilica of Koekelberg from August 18, 2007 through March 15, 2008. The exhibition will show original documents, scale models, notebooks as well as several of Leonardo’s inventions. The exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the signature of the Treaty of Rome and is coproduced by « Europa 50 » and the European Commision. |
